Adult Community Media Lab (2020-1-TR01-KA204-093885)
Yenişehir HEM is located in the center of Mersin Province, one of the largest cities on Turkey’s southern Mediterranean coast. The city has an important history for many civilizations of the past.

The ACML project will help adults acquire and develop high-quality skills and key competencies in social media to address the challenges of social transformation and foster their responsibility towards the correct use of digital technology. Community Media Labs (CML) are becoming important catalysts for driving knowledge and innovation, bridging the digital cultural divide.
Our project will develop a cooperative effort that will involve academic institutions, media and technology organizations in order to educate and empower adults.
ACML will create the role of “social media literacy tutor” who will promote the active participation of adults with children, older adults and low-skilled adults. Consequently, our project will improve people’s understanding of digital media by educating a selected group of adults to become “social media literacy tutors” and contribute to meeting the everyday demands of new digital media and services. . .
Furthermore, our project will implement innovative learning practices (content and language integrated learning, participatory online learning, social learning) and contribute to implementing an effective non-formal and informal educational environment.
